Modern LED Wall Lights for Every Room

From functional mirror lights in the bathroom to decorative designer wall lights in the living area – our range includes over 280 selected models. The swivel spotlights with warm white light are perfect as reading lights, while indirect wall lamps with adjustable light color create atmospheric accents. Our LED light sources with integrated dimming function are particularly popular, as they can be flexibly adapted to your needs. At EssZett, you will find high-quality lighting for every budget – from practical entry-level models to exclusive designer pieces.

How many lumens should your LED wall light have?

The right brightness for your wall light depends on its location. For a cozy atmosphere in the living room, 100-400 lumens are completely sufficient – here, Sompex wall lights with indirect lighting create a homely ambiance. In the hallway or stairwell, however, you should opt for 400-600 lumens so you can navigate safely. Maytoni offers functional LED wall lights with integrated 540-lumen technology for this purpose. As reading lights next to the bed, we recommend swivel spotlights with at least 300 lumens and a warm white light color. Are you unsure about your choice? Use our practical brightness filters or let our team advise you – a visit to our showroom is also possible at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Wall Light

Which wall light is the best?

The best wall light to optimally illuminate your space depends on its intended use and your interior design style. For modern rooms, we recommend LED wall lights from Maytoni with a dimmable function, while Sompex models with indirect light create particularly atmospheric lighting. Look for swivel spotlights for reading and indirect lighting for cozy accents. Complement your lighting concept with modern floor lamps for balanced room illumination.

How many lumens should a wall light have?

For accent lighting in the living room, 100-400 lumens are sufficient; in the hallway, you'll need 400-600 lumens for safe navigation. For reading light, we recommend at least 300 lumens with warm white light. The brightness of the bulb should always match the intended use and room size. Here you will find a selection of our light bulbs.

How high should wall lights be mounted?

Wall lamps are usually mounted at a height of 160-180 cm – around eye level. Next to the bed, ideally place them 50-60 cm above the mattress, and in stairwells every 1.5-2 meters. For mirror lights, orient yourself to the center of the mirror. Correct positioning, together with thoughtful wall design, creates a harmonious overall impression.

Mounting a wall lamp without drilling?

There are adhesive solutions and clamp mounts for lightweight lamps up to approx. 2 kg. For heavier designer wall lights or permanent installation, however, we recommend classic wall mounting with anchors. Battery options also allow for installation without power.

LED or halogen for wall lights?

LED lamps have a clear advantage in wall lighting: they save up to 80% energy, last 25 times longer, and generate hardly any heat. Modern LED wall lights also offer adjustable light color and dimming function – with consistently high light quality.

How are wall lights connected?

Wall lights are connected to the 230V mains power supply via a flush-mounted box. Before installation, switch off the fuse and connect the live wire (brown), neutral wire (blue), and earth wire (yellow-green) to the terminal block. If you are unsure, you should hire an electrician.
